Behind the Name
Papel Arcano translates from Spanish as "Arcane Paper," designed to evoke the feeling of magic, mystery, and the night. Owner Jack Saucedo says, "I loved this name so much because I was able to imagine the vibe of the shop as an old wizard's study room or library in an ancient castle somewhere."

The Inspiration
The owner, Jack Saucedo, is a proud Hispanic/Latine, LGBTQ+ entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for beautiful stationery and the stories that each item holds.
For Jack, starting Papel Arcano is about more than just selling products; it’s about creating a space where people can explore their creativity, discover unique art from independent artists, and find joy in the little things—like the perfect notebook or a smooth, beautifully designed pen. This passion comes through in every detail of the store.
